I am remembering Gail Honda and Jean and Sadao, and grateful having walked this way with them in many things, so grateful today also for Gail’s husband Kipp Martin who lived fully and cared, gave to the Honda’s the very best in life. Today as we enter into the Makahiki Season of Peace – We remember Gail’s great work of grace with the “paahao” those who were incarcerated at the Waiawa Correctional Facility.
Gail Ann Miyoko Honda departed this life on November 1, 2018 at the age of 60. Gail was born in Wahiawa, Hawaii. Gail is survived by her husband Richard Kipp Martin and both her parents Sadao Honda and most recently Jean have passed this life and into the next! Gail was a writer, teacher, and speaker. She especially loved writing about Japanese history. However, she gave of herself in mentoring the incarcerated at Waiawa in writing. She will best be remembered by all as someone who treated everyone kindly.

Please note Gail’s “editor notes” above as an example of her compassion and kindness to others, which was also very true of both her parents, and is true of her husband Kipp Martin who was primary caregiver to Gail and her parents in the
finals days of their journey of life!
The Honda’s were active members of St. Stephen’s, involved in the many programs and ministry there, and very active in community affairs!

HERE ARE OUR MORNING PRAYERS – TAP HERE TO REMEMBER THE LOVE WE SHARED WITH OUR MANY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND GREAT LOVE AND KINDNESS NOW THAT WE CAN SHARE WITH ALL!

Makahiki Season of Peace!
