I was sad and frustrated to see the City Enforcement (sweep) in Nanakuli this past Friday in an area from Princess Kahanu St. to Hakimo Road – about 200 camping houseless. Where will they go now? What can we do to assist them and kokua? How can the community come together to kokua!
Jesus said when you did it to the least of these you did it to me. COFO ALOHA Food Outreach has been supporting this camping community in Nanakuli and other camps on the West Side. Let’s join together to work on housing and camp solutions and make a difference!
Due to the low and lack of affordable housing the Westside is now impacted with many families living on the beaches in desperate situations of poverty and health. What can we do? The community and churches can come together to address the needs and work on solutions.

HERE ARE THE MORNING PRAYERS – TAP HERE TO PRAY FOR THOSE WHO ARE HOUSELESS AND HOMELESS! PRAYERS FOR THOSE DISPLACED AND ENFORCED FROM BEACH CAMPS. PRAYERS FOR THR COMMUNITY AND CHURCHES TO RESPOND NOW! PRAYERS FOR MOTHERS WHO ARE ON THE BEACHES AND THE MANY FAMILIES TODAY IN NEED OF SAFE SHELTER AND BASIC HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE. THIS IS MOTHER’S DAY. LET US SUPPORT THOSE IN NEED!

The many houseless and homeless shelters in front of St. Elizabeth has relocated to other places in Kalihi Palama. Efforts were made to find housing and shelter support but in most cases none was available or utilized.
Kaumakapili Church is next to St. Elizabeth and both have various ministries with the community. The homeless is an important issue to work on with the larger community. The government can only do so much. The churches must work together with the community to find caring solutions and to provide safe healthy options for housing and shelter – off the street’s and sidewalks! The church must create safe and healthy places for the unhoused and unsheltered!
Lot’s to do!
