Mākaha Stream and Eku Stream are the two main streams in the valley, with Mākaha being the primary stream. Mākaha Stream originates in the western slopes of the Waiʻanae mountain range and is fed by water that falls from Mount Kaʻala. The stream flows year-round in its upper reaches and intermittently at lower elevations. Eku Stream originates approximately 9,000 feet mauka (mountainside) of Farrington Highway on the eastern side of the valley from Kamaileʻunu Ridge and flows though the Mākaha East Golf Course.Land elevationMākaha Stream and Eku Stream are the two main streams in the valley, with Mākaha being the primary stream.
